***You get what you pay for! Our Fire pits are made of 16 gauge (1.2mm) metal and 316 stainless steel while other sellers are using 20 gauge (1.0mm) metal and 304 stainless steel. Between the high grade 316 stainless steel and the thickness of 16 gauge out fire pits have a much greater resistance to chemical attack and are more durable. 316 steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless with superior corrosion resistance particularly against chlorides and chlorinated solutions. This makes Type 316 particularly desirable for applications where exposure to salt is an issue, this also makes them much easier to clean!***
